Fergie:

"Our form at Old Trafford is always the key to our progress in the Champions League. If we can maintain that good home form it will give us the six points and put us in a fantastic position going into the two matches against Juventus because they will be important games.

"Away from home they [Deportivo] do well goals wise. This year they have had two very good results away from Spain in the first group beating Bayern Munich 3-2 in Germany and also winning 2-1 in Italy against AC Milan.

"They can score goals and are a very experienced side. There are no hidden agendas with them, we know exactly what we are facing.

“The benefit of only having 11 or 12 players to choose from at the moment is showing itself on the field. Consistent team selection has brought consistent results.

"When we get the injured players back, they'll have a job on their hands getting into the team simply because, if the present team continues with its winning ways, there won't be any need for me to change it.”

Carlos Queiroz:

“I must announce that David Beckham will back to the team. The situation with Rio is still the same, he is still injured. Laurent [Blanc], Nicky Butt and Quinton Fortune are also still injured.

Pele Neville:

“The crowd on Saturday were amazing - they gave us a great lift. Hopefully it will be the same on Wednesday. Some of the football played in the four games against Deportivo last season was of the highest quality. They contributed to that, and although we beat them in the quarter-finals we had to put on two of our best performances of the season.

“They beat us twice earlier in the season, too, so we know a lot about each other and it should be a good game. They've got a lad on the left wing called Fran - he's a key player for them. He's experienced, and the lad upfront Tristan is one to watch.

“They had quite a few players in the World Cup, as we did, and it's no coincidence that we've both suffered with injuries. They've still got quality players in their squad, as we have.

“Some games you get recognised more than in other games. I got plaudits because it was a bigger game than usual - in the past I've played just as well as that but not got the recognition I did on Saturday.

“It was a much needed win. Arsenal are a fantastic side with great player and you need all eleven players on top of their game - that's what we got on Saturday. We showed great desire and more importantly we got the three points. That was the most important thing.”
