Andreas Pereira hopes to be given more opportunities at Manchester United

The 20-year-old scored in the Capital One Cup earlier this season on what was his maiden start for United.

But Pereira has only made the first XI on one other occasion - also in the League Cup - among a total of just seven senior appearances this term.

He says it is a "great dream" of his to represent Brazil at the Olympics this summer and, with that in mind, he has no doubt he needs to get more game time - whether it be for United or out on loan.

Pereira, quoted on Wednesday by globoesporte.globo.com, said of conversations with United boss Louis van Gaal: "He has asked me to continue working and says the opportunity will come.

"I'm focused and doing my best.

"Of course it frustrates me sometimes that I am not playing, but the coach is always talking to me.

"I need more playing time, and the club will decide (about that) with my agent."

It has been reported that Leicester, Malaga and PSV Eindhoven are interested in Pereira.

And he added: "I am a United player, (but) I have found out through the media that there are many clubs interested in me

"I don't know if United want to loan me out, but I'm working hard to get more opportunities

"I'm doing my job at United, (but) of course I need to stand out to the Brazil management, so I need to play more and have more opportunities.

"Playing at the Olympics is a great dream of mine."
