From the Telegraph:

Manchester United and Arsenal will be among the top eight seeds for next season's Champions League when the draw is made in Monaco in August, thus avoiding big guns such as AC Milan, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich in the first and only group stage.

Holders AC Milan will be No 1 seeds and based on results over the last five years, Real Madrid will be second and United third. Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Juventus are also certain to be in pot No 1.

CHAMPIONS LGE (possible seeding): Pot one: AC Milan, Real Madrid, Man Utd, Bayern Munich, Lazio, Arsenal, Juventus, one other. Pot two: Inter, FC Porto, Galatasaray, Lyons, Panathinaikos, B Dortmund, Chelsea, one other. Pot three: Celtic, Olympic Pireaus, AEK Athens, Newcastle, Rangers, three others. Pot four: VfB Stuttgart, Loko Moscow, Anderlecht, AS Monaco, Besiktas, three others

Meanwhile Wenger's agent, Marc Roger, called upon vice-chairman David Dein to back Wenger - or watch him leave:

“Arsene will know his future in the next two to three weeks. His priority at the moment is to continue with Arsenal but he wants to with the Champions League with his team and lacks the money for this.

“If Arsenal can't do it, we will see what happens. Arsene has told me he would be pleased to coach Real Madrid one day. Which coach in the world would not want to work with Ronaldo, Zidane and Raul?”
