"It's outrageous but they get away with it is because the law on the Internet is not properly sorted. It's like the Wild West."

"It's unbelievable that there are people evil enough to try to wreck a marriage as happy as ours."

A close friend: "This is a vile and evil vendetta by people who can't bear to see them so content.

"The couple say they would dump all the cars, fame and money as long as they were safe from this nightmare."

Father Ted: "Someone is trying to stitch them up. I can only imagine the pressure on them. There are people out there who are trying to get to them with these lies about them. But I have never seen two people as much in love They dote on each other.

"He is a fantastic dad and she is a fantastic mum. They are perfect for each other.

"People must think they have it all and in many ways they have but fame has its price."

One friend said: "People are trying to shatter their lives but their marriage is strong enough to survive what they both know are malicious, evil lies.

"David and Victoria have all the money they could want but it seems they cannot buy peace of mind and complete safety. All the trappings of their success are becoming a poison chalice for them.

"They are distraught that no matter what they do, they can't seem to do right. Here are two people that love each other dearly and are just trying to get on with their lives.

"There are so few role models to admire but the Beckhams are respected as a great couple and super parents - yet still people want to have a go at them. They want to be normal despite the fame that they have achieved.

"After these rumours broke they were shattered. David reassured Victoria it was all a load of nonsense.

"She knew that, of course, but the pain of having someone stick a knife into a marriage you have fought for is still awful.”
