BECKHAM HAPPY TO FORGET

"Our desire is still there - we finished without a trophy last season so our hunger is there, it gets stronger every year, and we were very disappointed last year. We all talk about last season, but it's last season. We forget about it and move on."

Beckham denied reports in some newspapers that he wouldn't be playing tonight’s match as he's not yet fully recovered from his foot injury.

"According to you lot I've got a month off after pre-season" he told the press yesterday." I needed a few weeks to get match fitness. It's not a problem, but just because we got back from the World Cup ten days later than everyone else. Going to the World Cup was the right decision, but I still get aches in my foot, they will take months to go away but it's not restricting."
