Christiano Ronaldo, who also missed the Aalborg game, is expected to have recovered from his hip injury in time to face Spurs.
"Berbatov and Carrick are the main worries," United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told the club's official website.
"I'm sure Ronaldo will be okay. His hip is still a bit tender, but hopefully he'll be back."
