Schneiderlin has been one of Southampton's stand out performers over recent seasons and was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, before the London clubs interest in the player curtailed, possibly due to United's intent to do a deal with Saints.

Arsene Wenger has previously mentioned how Manchester United have put transfer feelers out far and wide, going after many of the same transfer targets as the FA Cup winners: 'Every player I am offered, Manchester United are already on his case!Â’

The Red Devils have reportedly agreed a £25million fee that will see Schneiderlin make the move north to Manchester ahead of the coming Premier League season.

United boss Louis van Gaal has previously spoken about acquiring a right-footed midfielder to add 'balance' to his United side, with 25-year-old Schneiderlin fitting that description.

Sky Bet wrote: ‘We have suspended betting on Morgan Schneiderlin joining Manchester United after laying significant business as short as 1/12 on the Southampton player signing for the Old Trafford club.’
