* More press speculation that this will be Mourinho's last season at Chelsea.

* United are reported to be interested in Celtic's Shunsuke Nakamura according to reports this morning.

* The People report that former City right back Ray Ransom is hoping to buy the Divs for £80m. Other sources have suggested that US based investors are hovering around the Theatre of Comedy:

Ranson, who twice tried to buy Aston Villa from Doug Ellis before American Randy Learner prevailed, is offering City chairman Wardle an alternative - and the chance to keep the club in British ownership.

City are around £70m in debt and Wardle wants to sell the 29.9 per cent holding he has with business partner David Makin to allow the club to move forward.

The un-named Americans have been talking for a while - but Ranson wants to present his own package. A spokesman for Ranson said: "Ray has been approached and is considering his options."

Ranson also owns sports stats company Pro-zone.

* The Screws claim that Atletico Madrid are now willing to talk about Fernando Torres.

* Arsene Wenger:

"We speak with him and try to not to put any special pressure on him.

"It's even worse for Theo than it was for Rooney.

"Rooney played first and then he got the headlines. Walcott had that for his first Premiership game. The expectation was already high.

"At Arsenal we try to help him and we are patient. People are too quick in their judgments these days. If you don't do it immediately, they burn you.

"They forget how old he is. He could be in the Under-17 team and yet he is expected to be the star for Arsenal."
