Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed Paul Pogba was key to helping him find a house upon his arrival in January, which left the Portuguese shocked as he 'couldn't imagine' he would find a place to live so fast.
Fernandes has been in breathtaking form since his January arrival, barely needing any time to settle at his new club. The 25-year-old has managed three goals and three assists in just seven Premier League appearances up to this point.
United's recent clash with Sheffield United saw Bruno line up in midfield alongside Pogba from the start for the first time, and the pair were a constant threat together. It is a partnership that has fans very excited for the future.
Fernandes has now explained that Pogba was crucial to helping him settle in Manchester, ensuring he found a place to live quickly and easily. The former Sporting CP man stated that he settled 'really fast', despite the fact he didn't think he'd be able to find a place to live so quickly.
"He flicked through the pages. I chose three or four places and he said okay tomorrow we will go and check all the houses. I decided the next day...then I did the tests, then power tests, the next day I was with the team training and the next day I was playing against Wolves.
"And that day I went back to Portugal because the Premier League stopped, and when I arrived back I had the house. So settling in, in Manchester was really fast. I couldn’t imagine it would be fast like this because I lived in other countries and every time it was a problem to find a house and everything. It was fast and nice because everyone helped me."
It can take players a while to settle in their new homes and adjust to a new way of life, but Pogba's help in finding a home ensured his new teammate didn't struggle during what was a hectic few days for Fernandes.
