CARRICK HAPPY WITH RONALDO

Michael Carrick has said that playing with Cristiano Ronaldo is easy and he's enjoying every minute.

"It was a huge game (Newcastle), we needed a win," Carrick told Sky Sports News. "We were conscious before the game a win would take us back to the top and we are top of the Champions League and things are going well.

"Cristiano is on fire, he improving all the time," He added "The lads say that compared to last year, he has tightened up his game and is at a new level again.

"It is making my job in the midfield a lot earlier, just giving him the ball and letting him do the rest.

"I am enjoying playing with him."

Meanwhile Queirozzz has said that he is happy with Carrick's form and thinks he is settling into the team well.

"Michael's adaptation is in good progression," he said. "It's not easy to arrive in the middle of our team and play immediately but our opinion is that he's doing fantastically."

"It's completely different to be in the middle of the park at Manchester and control the game and dictate the game with players like Wayne, Cristiano, Ji, Giggsy," said Queirozzz.

"If you compare the front five of our team with that of Tottenham, it's completely different. So he is adapting his game very well to players he didn't know until he arrived here."
