Champions League Game Ban For Scholes

Having already been shown a yellow card for a reckless tackle in the first half, the United midfielder was shown a second yellow card for punching the ball into the net just three minutes from the end of the 2-1 defeat in Monaco on Friday night.

Scholes will now therefore serve a one game ban and so will sit out United's first Champions League tie against Villarreal at Old Trafford.
