Chelsea are in a fight to get Didier Drogba fit to face Manchester United.
And Jose Mourinho also has a scare over Michael Ballack.
Drogba limped out of the Champions League defeat in Bremen with a right ankle problem.
Ballack has a 10-inch gash on his right calf.
Boss Mourinho said: "Drogba has something wrong with his ankle.
"Normally he would be ready for Sunday. We hope so.
"Ballack's injury is nothing special, just pain. Pierre Wome put his studs on his calf muscle. I think that it's just painful."
Mourinho will be desperate to have both players in prime nick for the Old Trafford showdown on Sunday afternoon.
But the way 14-goal Ivory Coast striker Drogba limped very heavily on to the team coach after the match is sure to be a big worry.
