Christian Eriksen & Lisandro Martinez arrive at Man Utd training for first time

New Manchester United signings Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez have been pictured arriving at the club’s training ground for the first time.

United confirmed earlier this month that Eriksen, who was a free agent after leaving Brentford, had signed a three-year contract until 2025.

Two days later the club then announced a deal with Ajax had been reached for Martinez, with final completion of the transfer subject to remaining formalities like medical, personal terms & visa.

Neither player linked up with the rest of the squad during the recent pre-season tour of Australia, nor have they even been officially unveiled yet.

The pair were actually pictured arriving at the training ground together, with Eriksen driving his new teammate as they shared a ride to work in a black Audi.

Each player is coming to United with Ajax roots. Eriksen started his senior career in Amsterdam after joining the club’s youth ranks at 16. He then moved to Tottenham at 21 and spent seven years in north London establishing a reputation as one of the best creative midfielders in Europe.

Martinez, whose height has become a point of contention on social media, has risen to prominence much more recently. He joined Erik ten Hag’s Ajax from Defensa y Justicia in 2019 and had played 120 games for the club by the time United agreed a deal worth up to £57m this month.
