COOLER THAN RIO

Robbie Savage thinks that by keeping his cool he won the battle with Rio Ferdinand which has lasted the whole of two games.

When asked if he had been on the receiving end of a bad tackle during an interview with BBC Radio Lancashire he replied.

"This was a nasty one. I never saw it coming, but I enjoyed playing against him. I enjoy playing against centre-halves in midfield!

"I think he was possibly after me all the way through the game but I just kept my cool."

He then went on

"To score four goals at home to United is a great achievement," smiled Savage.

"But at 4-1, you have to learn to put a game to bed. When they made it 4-3 I looked up at the clock and saw the time left. You do panic."
