Daniel James Reveals What Man Utd Teammates Teased Him About Just After Joining From Swansea

Daniel James has revealed his fellow Manchester United players joked about his height when he first joined the club last summer.

The Red Devils splashed out on the winger after he impressed at Swansea in the Championship last year. He cost the Old Trafford club £15m but has now revealed he was the butt of the joke when he was pictured driving his car.

As he arrived at Carrington it looked liked James could only just peer over the steering wheel, with pictures emerging all over social media.

United's players soon cottoned on to the joke, claiming the new signing needed a booster seat. "I think a photograph got taken the first day I drove my car in," James told Sky Sports. "I think it was Andreas [Pereira] who put it in the chat.

"I think I was just over the steering wheel - but it was because I was looking left and right! Ever since then the boys have said I need a booster seat for the car."

James stands at 5'7 but this joke was indicative of how well he managed to settle into Manchester United over the summer.

He showed it was money well spent when he started his United career by scoring three goals in his opening four games for the club, including a memorable strike against Chelsea in his full debut.

He will be hoping to help United regain some sort of form as they go in search of European football under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Red Devils are five points off fourth place Chelsea, having won twice in their last five.

James is an important part to the United team as it is and could become integral as the 22-year-old grows with more experience in the Premier League.

Despite his height and as much fun Pereira and co. wanna poke fun at it, James has settled into top flight life well and will want to improve even more.
