The long running battlecry of City supporters won't be valid according to sources within local Council officials in Greater Manchester.

In 2006 major boundary changes will take place within Tameside County Council. Amongst the changes will be Bredbury and Romiley now of Cheshire status becoming part of Tameside.

More alarming for City supporters will the acceptance of Manchester Council wards, Beswick, Clayton & Openshaw into the Tameside council area they currently border with Droylsden.

From 2006-7 season Manchester City will play their football at Eastlands staduim TAMESIDE not Manchester.

Officially then Manchester will have no Premiership football representatives.
