Donny van de Beek praises Man Utd 'structure' under Erik ten Hag

Donny van de Beek has become the latest Manchester United player to note the side's improvement under new manager Erik ten Hag.

United have made a good start to life under the Dutchman, thrashing arch rivals Liverpool 4-0 in their opening pre-season friendly in Bangkok before comfortably defeating both Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace in Australia.

Defenders Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot - who have been afforded plenty of minutes under Ten Hag thus far - have both praised the new manager's impact and the improvement the players have made already.

Now midfielder Van de Beek has added his voice to the praise having been reunited with his former Ajax boss at Old Trafford.

Speaking after Man Utd's latest victory - a 3-1 success over Palace in which he assisted the second goal - the 25-year-old said: "You could see some structure in the team and we scored some amazing goals tonight.

"Of course we have individual qualities, but we also played as a team and there is still room for improvement. Step by step."

He continued: "They [Palace] were missing a lot of players and I know they have some good players in the squad. They are a good team.

"It was a good friendly match for us because we will also see them in the league. It was good."
