DUNCAN'S GHOST?

Crerand told the MEN:

"I'm just wondering where Alex is going to play him next. So far he's played at centre-half, fullback and now in midfield. I can see him on the left wing soon! The lad looks to be comfortable wherever he plays. There is room for a utility player of his calibre in the squad but I think he's a youngster who really wants to be a central defender. That's probably the position he favours."

"But I watch the reserve team all the time and if you had told me that John O'Shea could play fullback I'd have laughed at you. But he's played right back and left back this year and has been as comfortable as anything in both positions."
