Facundo Pellistri 'really happy' to share dressing room with Man Utd stars

Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri has hailed the Red Devils' current squad for making it 'easy' to play alongside them and admitted he is thankful to share a dressing room with this cohort.

The Uruguayan scored the final goal in Man Utd's 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in Thailand on Tuesday, with Erik ten Hag's first match in charge proving to be a memorable one.

The 20-year-old is yet to make his competitive debut for the club has spent the last 18 months on loan at La Liga side Deportivo Alaves, ironically not scoring a single goal in Spain, but made good on his chance to impress the new Man Utd boss.

Speaking to club channels post-match, Pellistri hailed the start he and his teammates made on their pre-season tour, while he acknowledged the quality that's in their ranks.

"It was a very good start, amazing, and against a really hard team," Pellistri said. "I think we did good and I'm really happy to score a goal for the team and that we win, [it] makes such a difference.

"It is good to start like this [with a win]. We have a long and hard pre-season coming and we have to keep working. Obviously it is always good to win and we are working on that. In every match we have to try to win.

It was amazing. We have very good players, so it is easy to play with them. I am really happy to share the locker room [with them] because they have lots of experience and they help me a lot."
