FINGER POINTING

Mark Hughes has countered Sir Alex's comments about the match by saying it's not fair to point fingers.

'To be perfectly honest, I couldn't understand where Sir Alex was coming from.

'It took a bit of the joy and emotion out of the game for me when I heard the comments.

'I just think Sir Alex, maybe on reflection will change his own personal view on how he actually viewed the game.

'I thought some of his comments were a bit harsh, he highlighted a number of my players as well, which he didn't need to do.'

'Rio did it twice in two minutes while their centre-back Andy Todd committed about 10 fouls in the first half and was not punished,' said the Scot.

But former Wales boss Hughes said: 'I think one of his (Ferguson) comments was he couldn't defend my team - I don't need anyone to defend my team. (Ed. Shame the same can't be said for Sir Alex)

'I'm disappointed with those comments.'
