"My groin is a lot better than it was and I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel now," says Gary.

"I've been working hard with the physios and am hoping to be back in training in the next ten days. I'm hoping to play a couple of reserve games a week or so after that and then get back into the first team.

"It's always frustrating to be injured. But this injury has been particularly frustrating because at the beginning of the season I'd set myself a target to be fit and available for every game.

"I felt really strong at the start of the campaign and was absolutely gutted when I picked up the injury. But I feel much better when I run and don't anticipate having any more problems.
