Hughes has named Giggs in his squad for next Wednesday's friendly.
Hughes said: "I'm hopeful Ryan will be involved. I know Manchester United have a game on the Friday, the Chelsea match at Stamford Bridge has been moved because of policing problems that weekend over the Notting Hill carnival. But I have discussed this with Sir Alex (Ferguson) and I have had a favourable response. I would like Ryan to travel next week and have some part in the game."
Giggs will not arrive back at Heathrow until the Thursday afternoon, and then is expected to go straight to United's London base for the game the following night?
