Graeme Souness Needlessly Plays Up to Paul Pogba Meme With Another Very, Very Hot Take

​Graeme Souness' opinions on Paul Pogba are one of the most talked about and joked about things on the internet.

From claiming Pogba "treats football like a joke" just minutes after a match-winning display where he scored twice, to saying the World Cup-winning midfielder doesn't have a "football brain", Souness doesn't shy away from a hot take.

There might not be any football for the ex-Liverpool star to provide his 'expert analysis' on right now, but, for some bizarre reason, Souness has emerged from his cryosleep to stick one more knife in Pogba's back.

"Pogba has absolutely everything to be a top player - great athleticism, super technique - but his attitude to the game is the polar opposite of mine," Souness (regrettably) said, quoted by the Mirror.

"He goes out with one thought in his mind: 'I'm going to show everyone how clever I am today and be the star of the show.'"

Right. Let's pause there for just a brief second.

Souness somehow has more to say, but let's just take a moment to let those two sentences sink in.

Okay, that's better. 

Shall we continue?

Souness (very, very unfortunately) did continue: "My attitude, the way I was taught, was: 'Go out and work harder than the guy you're in against and see where that takes you.' He'd be an absolute doddle to play against."

A doddle, he said. A f****** doddle!

We're still not quite sure why there's this strange feud between global superstar Pogba and Souness, who hasn't played competitive football since *checks notes* 1991 - the same year that the first-ever website was created, and even that came after Souness retired.

But if anything, getting called out for the mere fact he breathes oxygen probably brings Pogba as much amusement as it does for us.
