HARGREAVES FULL OF PRAISE FOR SCHOLES

United target Owen Hargreaves told the BBC:

"I think Paul would be able to get into any team in the world. He's good enough for Brazil, Barcelona - anyone. He is so good that anyone who sees him play wants him in their team. When he gets on the pitch he runs the show, he is a great player to watch.

Hargreaves was very impressed with Scholes' assist for the second goal against Milan, "That was just brilliant. It's exactly what you want to see on such a big occasion. Really it is training ground stuff, that. Nobody is ever going to try that in a game, to be fair, and then he does that.

"He has just got such a great footballing brain. To do that and for it to come off at 2-1 down at home in the first leg - it is brilliant."

"I genuinely think that Paul Scholes is still an under-rated footballer. A lot of it is because of the way he is, how quiet he is, the way he goes about his business. He is just quiet, a really nice guy. He is great to be around because he is so easy-going and he loves his football, too. A player of the calibre of Paul Scholes, any team in the world would benefit from."
