Image Emerges of New Manchester United Home Kit for 2020/21 Season

Honest to goodness, concrete kit news in the middle of the springtime tide of questionable leaks and concepts?

It'll never catch on.

We've had no shortage of that type of content in relation to Manchester United over the past few weeks and months. Back in January, we had reports of a 'legacy green' 2020/21 away kit, while it looks like their new third kit is going to be some sort of bizarre zebra print/camouflage hybrid.

Despite all of that, however, we've had precious little to go on with regards to their adidas home kit for next season.

Well... until now.

While leaks of the design have been common recently, an actual picture of United's home shirt for next season has now emerged (courtesy of 90min's own Scott Saunders), and it certainly catches the eye... without exactly delighting fans.

The kit is expected to be officially launched in July 2020, though that date might be put back if the season rumbles on into the summer due to the ongoing coronavirus uncertainty.

The away kit launch is to come first, according to Footy Headlines, who were quick out the traps with some concept images last month which seem to have correctly predicted the home kit's outlandish design.

The website have drilled into a niche for kit leaks, and the concept design they drew up in March has a strikingly similar 'paintbrush' style aesthetic to the images which have emerged.

The new kit features black and yellow flashes smattered over the red backdrop of the kit, evoking the traditional colour scheme which has long been represented on the club's home strips.

Footy Headlines also reported that the shorts and socks will primarily be white, and there is no reason to disbelieve that claim given they regularly wear that combination at present.
