KEANE FOR A CHANGE?

From the M.E.N.

``I run around trying to do too much in matches. I am desperate to win but I am 31 now and I need to take a step back and look where I have gone wrong. I think I was going wrong in a lot of places.

``I have got to be more clever and wiser about the way I play the game. I don't think it will take anything away from my game. I think it will help it. I will still be a team player.

``It doesn't mean I am going to sit in the centre circle and not move but I think in the long run for the benefit of me and the team I need to relax a bit more and I do need to use my head a bit.

``In a funny, crazy kind of way all the injuries I have had have worked out to be a benefit to me. I always feel I come back fitter, better and stronger.

``I learn a lot as well when I am out of the team about what I can give to the side. I have learnt a lot in the last three months about my body and what I am capable of doing and not capable of.''
