KEWELL AND RONALDINHO

The Sun reports that United’s treatment of Beckham, which
they seem to have on a par with Sadam Hussein’s rule over
Iraq, will push Harry Kewell to Arsenal.

Meanwhile Barca, fresh from the Beckham disappointment, will
try to hijack our move for Ronaldinho.

"It is no secret that Ronaldinho is one of the players we
are looking at. He has always been on our list as have other
top players. A deal is very close with Ronaldinho," said
Barcelona press secretary Juan Jose Castillo.

However PSG may have to change their stance over the
deal. Thus far they have been determined not to sell but as
the Guardian reports, their debts may make keeping him
impossible.

‘United's chief executive Peter Kenyon intends to switch his
attentions to the convoluted saga of luring Ronaldinho from
Parc des Princes and his prospects have been enhanced by a
ruling yesterday from the Direction Nationale de Controle de
Gestion, a body appointed by the French league to examine
the finances of its clubs.

‘Having already relegated Monaco, the league runners-up, to
the Second Division because of their spiralling debts, the
DNCG has now ruled that PSG's wage bill is perilously high
for a club of their means. A transfer embargo has been
imposed and unless they sell some of their players before
the end of the month they face possible sanctions such as a
points deduction.’
