MACARI SEES HEADS ROLLING

Macari believes the likes of Ferdinand, Scholes and O’Shea are failing to do their jobs.

Macari said: “You are wearing the red shirt, you’re earning the money and you know what the manager is like. So I can’t understand how so many have let him down.’

“While the manager has been here, everybody has discovered if you don’t do your job, then you’re out of the door. The alarming thing is that we are missing what we have seen in the past from certain players, such as Scholesy, John O’Shea and Rio.”

“Scholesy is Mr Dull at the moment, while Rio has to start getting a bit tougher and become a dominant centre-half.

“Management is obviously tougher nowadays because players’ contracts are bigger and better and they are now holding out for more money.

“But, as a player, everything you get from United is fantastic — the response from the crowd is fantastic, Manchester is fantastic. Come on lads, what more do you want? You can only have so much money. It’s time to be a bit more loyal and work a lot harder on the pitch.”
