Manchester United inform Real Madrid they will not sell David De Gea

In what could be a hardening of transfer relations between United and Real Madrid the Spanish radio network Cadena COPE claims that United have informed Real that they will not do business over David De Gea

Further reports today claim that Real are not interested in a Bale and De Gea player swap and seem prepared to duel United in their high stakes poker tactics that could take any deals to the brink.

Louis van Gaal said on Sunday that De Gea had yet to decide his future and that the decision was effectively in his hands but that United would not make it easy for Real

This followed a report from Marca that was published last week that claimed that a deal had been agreed for a five or six year deal worth £4million-per-year.

"It is not easy to choose between two great clubs

We would be very happy if he stays.", said the Dutchman.

"He is Spanish and his girlfriend is Spanish and he can go to another great club, so it is difficult for him to decide.

"David De Gea shall not leave us so easily because we are a great club and he wants to participate

He is still behind Casillas but now a Spanish club is coming."

The Cadena COPE report that United will not sell to United under any circumstances with United offering the player £250,000-per-week in order to persuade De Gea to stay at United.

De Gea was awarded both the PlayersÂ’ and FansÂ’ player of the year award in a ceremony focused on reflection rather than revelation where Van Gaal stole the show with his speech.
