Manchester United vs Liverpool Lose and Youll be sacked in the morning

A clash between Manchester United and Liverpool always has a lot riding on it

Heroes are born and legendary status is assumed but the matchup this weekend may have the highest stakes in quite some time as both managers are under intense pressure to perform.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has constantly asked fans to be patient with his 'process', and whilst he splashes the cash, but the more he spends and the more the team struggles, the fans grow ever more restless

The mega-money deadline day move for little-known Anthony Martial did little to appease fans, with more and more supporters boarding the 'van Gaal out' express

A closer analysis would reveal that in his time at Old Trafford, Louis van Gaal has spent in excess of £240 million whilst his team has become less prolific, less entertaining and not necessarily better than under David Moyes

Some would even say his team only made the Champions League places because of the failings of Brendan Rodgers and his Liverpool side

Time is running out for Mr Louis van Gaal.

Luis SuarezÂ’s blistering form in the 2013/14 season worked well to mask the shortcomings of a rather poorly assembled Liverpool squad

Brendan Rodgers has managed to bring 28 players to Anfield in his tenure, no trophies in that time and a poor Champions League campaign to cap it all off

A lacklustre start to the season hasnÂ’t helped and with even more money spent in this window the pressure continues to mount

The Merseyside outfit need a big result whilst being on the wrong end of one could spell public outrage and possibly curtains for Brendan Rodgers.

Whilst it is unlikely that either of these managers will lose their jobs regardless of the result, as it stands, their days certainly seem to be numbered and it would be best for them to at least grind out a result in what is undoubtedly the match of the weekend.
