Mikael Silvestre will probably miss the rest of the season with cruciate ligament damage to his knee.

Silvestre was stretched off during the 1-0 win at Everton on Saturday after falling awkwardly. Scans have now confirmed that he could be out for around 6 months.

Silvestre is the third player to suffer a cruciate injury this year, after Ben Foster and Park Ji-sung suffered similar problems.
