MORE GLAZER COST CUTTING?

Having said that, anything's got to be better than Martin Ferguson. From United's official site:

For club managers and scouts alike, the World Cup is market for football talent, a chance to cherry-pick international players, some of whom are little known or previously unheard of.

United are no different to any other club, and will be scouring all the matches to unearth football's next big thing, or perhaps even a bargain buy from the less well known teams.

We want you, the fans, to act as ManUtd.com's scouts at the tournament and evaluate the players you think would be a success at Old Trafford.

The idea is to unearth new and exciting players from the 32 World Cup countries taking part. We already know about the big names, so there's little point assessing Henry, or running the rule over Ronaldinho [because the Glazers wouldn't stump up for them anyway]. We want you to delve deeper into the wealth of talent on show [and find the new Bellion, Djemba and Kleberson].

If you're watching a match during the World Cup and you're impressed by a player - from any team and in any position - tell us about him.
