From the Guardian:

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink may face a disrepute charge from the Football Association because he has failed to produce evidence to back up his allegation that Chelsea's owner Roman Abramovich paid the club's players unauthorised bonuses for reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2004.

The claim by Hasselbaink, for whom 2003-4 was his final season at Chelsea, sparked a Premier League inquiry but the Middlesbrough striker is understood to have altered his initial story during interviews with the league and failed to provide bank statements, despite being asked to do so more than once.

Chelsea have denied Hasselbaink's claim that Abramovich paid the players double the agreed £50,000 bonus after they beat Arsenal and reached the last four of the Champions League. Such a payment would have breached regulations. An examination of relevant documentation at Chelsea by the Premier League has uncovered no wrongdoing.

If Hasselbaink fails to produce evidence to substantiate his allegation the matter is likely to be passed to the FA, which would have the power to charge the 33-year-old with bringing the game into disrepute on the ground that he had besmirched his former club.

League regulations state that bonuses must be agreed at the start of a season and not be changed.

Fifa has ordered Turkey to play their next six competitive home matches behind closed doors at neutral venues, after violence erupted at the end of their World Cup qualifying play-off against Switzerland in November.

A five-man disciplinary committee reviewed the accounts of six participants in a brawl that followed Turkey's elimination, which involved players and coaching staff in the tunnel on the way to the dressing rooms.

Newcastle midfielder Emre and former Aston Villa defender Alpay have also been banned for six matches for their part in the clashes, while Switzerland player Benjamin Huggel has also received a six-game suspension after he was filmed kicking out at Turkish officials.

From the Sun:

Burglars tried to break into the home of Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse while he played an away match against Chelsea.

The footballer's pregnant wife Jude, 30, and ten-year-old son Liam, were alone at the time. Police monitoring CCTV cameras spotted raiders inside the grounds of the £2million manor house in Frodsham, Cheshire, on Sunday.

They alerted Jude, who locked herself and Liam inside the house until cops arrived. The raiders fled.
