Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an assessment of his squad after the club made no signings in the January transfer window.
It is understood that the club did have a number of possible targets, but the team's excellent form combined with the reluctancy of elite teams to let go of top players in the winter window meant that no new faces were brought in.
They are set to lose midfielder Marouane Fellaini, though, as he completes his move to Shandong Luneng, after flying to China on transfer deadline day. Despite the 11pm deadline in England, there is no rush to get this over the line, with the Chinese Super League window open until February 28th.
Despite this net loss in the window, Solskjaer was adamant the current squad is more than sufficient. As quoted by the Manchester Evening News, the Norwegian urged: "It's very equipped. We've had now six weeks together, we found out what strengths, weaknesses we've got.
"We've risen to most of the challenges, maybe the setback of the Burnley goals we conceded make us move to the next level, because we've given ourselves a chance now to get into the top four earlier than we thought."
After an excellent to life at Old Trafford, the 45-year-old faces a crucial month in his interim tenure, with key domestic clashes and a Champions League last 16 tie.

And, while quick to acknowledge the rest his side will still receive, he was wary, declaring: "There's not too many games, there's still a week between every single one of them, but it's tough opposition, definitely you start with this game against Leicester, Fulham away as well and then the three big ones with PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool after each other, very hard one after that, you think we're done with those three and then Palace away.
"It's a tough month but we're ready, I've got a big squad, it's only Marcos Rojo now who's out for a period, the rest are fit and available."
