Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Invites Tyson Fury to Give Talk to Manchester United Players

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has invited newly crowned WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury to give a speech at Manchester United's training ground.

Fury completed a remarkable comeback on Saturday evening, as he battled back from depression and drug addiction to beat the undefeated Deontay Wilder and be crowned world champion once more.

The 'Gypsy King' has spoken openly about the mental health issues that he struggled with during a two-and-a-half-year absence from the ring, just months after he had found himself on top of the world following a famous victory over Wladimir Klitschko.

According to MetroSolskjaer has invited Fury to Carrington to speak to his players, with Fury's astonishing rise, fall and resurrection offering a unique insight into fighting back from the brink.

Fury is from Wythenshawe in Manchester, and is a life-long Manchester United fan. He has appeared at Old Trafford a number of times over the years, and has been invited to attend the Manchester derby in March as a guest of honour, where he would be presented to the crowd at half time.

Solskjaer has invited an assortment of people to speak to the United team during his tenure.

Former boss Sir Alex Ferguson visited the training ground in October ahead of the Red Devil's fixture against Liverpool, with Solskjaer's side becoming the first - and still only - side to take points off the Reds in the Premier League this season.

Solskjaer ex-teammate Roy Keane also attended Carrington to give a talk to the players in December prior to United's victory over Man City at the Etihad.

The Fury news comes in the wake of the FA's Heads Up campaign, with Heads Up weekend taking place across the 8-9 and 15-16 February.

The campaign aims to kick off a conversation about mental health, which Fury has done candidly and openly on numerous occasions since his return to the ring.
