Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has called on the United hierarchy to stick to their long-term plan, claiming that sacking him isn't the solution.
Solskjaer's claims come after the Red Devils' woeful 2-0 defeat at home to Burnley on Wednesday night, leaving them six points adrift of Chelsea in fourth and 33 points off Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.
But despite their troubles this season, Solskjaer believes that getting rid of him isn't the answer to the club's problems, reiterating to the club about the importance of sticking to their long-term plan.
“When you start on something you stick to that plan,” the Norwegian said, as quoted by the Daily Express.
“I'm not going to change, six, nine or 10 months into the job and believe in a different way. I
“We can't react to all the noise outside. There'll be criticism, you've got to take it, you've got to e stronger mentally.
“I am, the club is, the staff are very strong mentally and we're sticking to what we believe in. I've got full faith,” Solskjaer added.
Despite the clear deficiencies of Solskjaer, the United faithful are yet to vocalise their displeasure at the United legend, although their considerable annoyance at Ed Woodward's and the Glazers' running of the club was made clear during the Burnley defeat.
During the same press conference, the United manager went on to cite Jurgen Klopp and his building of an incredible Liverpool
