Sir Alex Ferguson, who confirmed that Darren Fletcher has returned to training this week, said: "Park has been offered a new contract and I'm sure he'll sign it.
"His career at United has been nothing but professional and I'm sure he will accept the offer and tie himself to the club for the next two years."
And the South Korean midfielder is confident his United performances will improve because he has quit international football.
"My fitness levels do get affected when I travel so much and play extra games," he said.
"Now I have finished playing for my country, I hope to get more rest, not suffer any injuries and enjoy the season."
