PARK'S MATE ON PARK

Park Ji Sung's ex PSV teammate Lee Young-Pyo talks about his mate and life in the Premiership. It's a thrilling pre-match interview.

'I've known Ji-Sung for a long time,' said Lee. 'We started playing together for the Korean national team some seven, eight years ago. We also had three years together every day at PSV, so we know everything about each other!

'It’s a very good story. We went to the Netherlands together and had a very good time there. I only have good memories there.

'We speak a lot - about England, the Premiership, I explain about Spurs, he talks about Manchester United. We are both happy in England.

'Ji-Sung is a very strong player, very athletic with lots of ability. This match is very important for us both and our teams, especially when you look where we are in the table.

'The most important thing for us is to take one point or three points - that's more important than the fact that I'm playing against Ji-Sung Park.'

Meanwhile Edgar Davids must have grown tired of Untied's 4-5-1 formation yet he still has respect for the club.

'What I like most about Manchester United in the years that I watched them, is that they have a big heart, ' said Davids. 'I like that attitude. You saw that whenever they played Arsenal, they always stepped up to meet the challenge.

'Every team is looking up to Manchester United,' said Davids. 'Chelsea can now put the standards up and create history but in the end it is Manchester United who have been successful for six or seven years. Of course Tottenham want to be like that but it is very difficult.'

He did say that he was very close to moving to Old Trafford as long ago as 1996 mainly due to the manager.

"I think it was the best conversation I ever had with a manager,"

He didn't let on why this was however and he only had this to say on the matter.

"When I talked to him at the time he made a big impression."
