Paul Pogba admits he 'wants to feel loved' after Man Utd exit

Paul Pogba has admitted that he is desperate to join a club where he will feel loved as he plans his next move following his departure from Manchester United.

The Frenchman has confirmed he is leaving Old Trafford for the second time in his career, having swapped United for Juventus back in 2012 before returning to Manchester for a cool £89m four years later.

Juventus are back in the mix for Pogba's signature this time around and sources have confirmed to 90min that the Bianconeri are confident they have done enough to convince the midfielder to return to Turin.

Speaking to Uninterrupted, Pogba confirmed that he is prioritising finding a club where he will feel happy and free to play his best football.

"As long as you click with the team, the fans, the club that loves you, that knows you... myself and all the players can only enjoy themselves and give their best," he said. "When you're free mentally and you enjoy yourself, that's when you perform.

"You need to be comfortable where you are, with who you're playing with... that's the most important thing.

"Everyone wants to feel loved. Everyone. Everyone needs that. Your soul needs that, to feel appreciated."

He added: "I just want the best for me. I'm putting everything together, taking my time and looking for the best. I just want to play football, be myself always, and enjoy what I do. I need to enjoy what I do, because otherwise, I cannot perform well.

"I don't want to be thinking negative. You can be losing games or losing trophies, but you have to be happy where you are and enjoy yourself. That's what I'm looking for."

Pogba was a hugely popular figure during his previous spell with Juve. He made 178 appearances in all competitions, racking up 34 goals and 40 assists as part of a side that won four consecutive Serie A titles.

Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been credited with an interest in Pogba, but Juventus believe they have done enough to sign him.
