United's unbeaten run in pre-season games continued with a 2-0 win against Peterborough United on Monday night.

United took the lead 39 minutes into the game against Sir Alex Ferguson's son's League One side in front of over 13,000 fans at London Road when the host's right-back Russell Martin put through his own net.

Second half substitute Darron Gibson sealed the win for United when he netted on 69 minutes with a superb 30-yard left foot strike.
