PSG Make Marcus Rashford 'Top Transfer Target' With Thomas Tuchel a Big Admirer

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel is said to have made Manchester United's Marcus Rashford his 'top target', with the German a major fan of the 22-year-old.

Rashford is currently enjoying the best season of his career, having managed 21 goals and ten assists in 38 appearances in all competitions so far in 2019/20. Most recently, he netted as United were held to a 2-2 draw with Southampton on Monday.

The England international has already made over 200 appearances for his boyhood side and he has previously spoken about his desire to remain at Old Trafford for as long as possible in order to become a true legend of the club.

However, the Independent now report that PSG have made Rashford a top transfer target, with Tuchel said to be in no doubt that United's number ten must be considered a priority signing for the Ligue 1 champions. Tuchel rates the forward very highly, but he thinks those in England 'don't realise how good a player Rashford actually is'.

In fact, the German is so keen to land his man that even despite the current climate, he is 'probably' willing to go above the £100m mark to secure his signature. However, it must be noted that the Red Devils 'greatly value' Rashford, a player who has become the poster boy of the club and a key player both on and off the pitch.

Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Rashford

Rashford's versatility, hard work and directness are all attributes Tuchel admires, and he could form a menacing partnership with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar. The United forward could even be a long-term replacement for the former, who has been linked with Real Madrid.

The report further notes that Tuchel sees Rashford as 'the perfect model of the modern dynamic attacking player”, and one who will fit seamlessly into his setup. Barcelona have shown an interest in the past, but PSG would be prepared 'to go stronger'.

However, while United's camp would be willing to listen to any interest, they are currently happy the way things are. Rashford not only has a very good relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but he has also developed into a key figure for his side under Solskjaer's guidance.

Rashford and Solskjaer have a good relationship

The Red Devils are now 18 games unbeaten and appear to finally be heading in the right direction, and Rashford himself recently admitted his excitement at the 'massive flood of positivity' at the club.
