Report Names the Two Conditions Man Utd Must Meet to Sign Jadon Sancho This Summer

Manchester United will have to qualify for the Champions League and make a bid in the region of £100m if they are to stand a chance at signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Sancho made the move over to Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017 and has since gone on to become a first team regular in Germany. He has been one of the Bundesliga's standout performers so far this season, registering an impressive seven goals and 11 assists in 22 league appearances.

Those performances have got tongues waggling across Europe and, according to the MirrorManchester United have made Sancho their top target this summer.

Despite previous reports claiming that Dortmund had quoted a £70m price tag for Sancho, it is now being suggested that the 19-year-old will not be for sale at any price.

The Mirror claim that if United are to stand a chance at snapping up Sancho in the summer, they will probably need to make an offer in excess of £100m, a record paid by an English club, which Dortmund simply can't refuse.

Sancho left Manchester City back in 2017 amid concerns about a lack of future first-team opportunities at the Etihad and he now remains focused on playing at the highest level in order to continue his development.

He's featured in every one of Dortmund's Champions League fixtures so far this season and, with the club almost certain to finish in the top four of the Bundesliga this season, he is set for another European campaign in 2019/20.

Should Dortmund cash in on Sancho, Manchester City will be due a 15% sell-on clause according to the deal that originally took him to Germany.
