Rio Ferdinand has pulled out of England's two games with Brazil and Estonia after injuring his groin again.

He said: "I'm gutted to miss out on a part of history. To play in the first international at the new Wembley is a special occasion."

"I'm really disappointed not to be part of this but the groin had been troubling me and I'd not be able to do myself justice.

"But the most important thing is to get the three points in Estonia and I'll be cheering the lads on. I'm sure they will do the business."
