"I am ugly but what I do have is charm. I love the big
occasion - the ones you think about days before. You think
about the dribbles, the passes, the goals you are going to
pull off.
"From the start of my career, every time there is a big
match, I play well. I don't know why. My game is based on
improvisation. Often a forward does not have the time to
think too much. You have a second, rarely more, to decide
whether to dribble, shoot or pass to the right or left. It
is instinct that gives the orders.
"When I first saw Maradona juggling with an orange I knew I
wanted to be like him. When I was alone I spent my time
juggling with a tennis ball. I still work at little things
now. When I am at home in Paris I amuse myself by dribbling
round the chairs."
