Rooney Set For Hammers Return

Rooney was forced to miss United's Champions League 2nd Round victory against Barcelona on Tuesday night having sustained a hip injury during last weekends defeat against Chelsea but manager Alex Ferguson is confident that the United striker will have recovered in time for the home match against the Hammers on Saturday.

"We just cancelled him out against Barcelona, he was in a lot of pain," Fergie has said.

"He will be a lot better in a few days and involved on Saturday somewhere along the line."
