RUUD VAN NISTELROOY

Keano had some interesting comments about Ruud and Scholesy, which he made on Sky before the game.

On Ruud he said

"a lot more to come from ruud"

".... most selfish player ever played with ..in a nice way"

"...general play can improve quite a bit"

"...a bit unfair to compare players at this time (bout van and terry) ...as an all rounder you'd have to say the package is better with henry"

On scholes he added-

"..when i play in the centre of midfield i like playing next to scholsey,i think he's a top player,i personally prefer to play with him in the centre of the park"

However it is being suggested that sky deliberately downplayed Roy's unusually candid comments, which were of the kind usually given prominent space on skysports.com as 'exclusive'. Why, and on whose suggestion? ahem.''

After the game Ruud was pleased with his performance and added:

"I always want to score but the manager is always saying to me that is also important for a striker to hold up the ball and to create opportunities for your colleagues.

"That gave me something to think about as I have always been a striker, who just worried about scoring, not losing the ball.

"I have tried to add that to my game and am working hard on it. I am happy to play my part like this."
