RUUD WANTS TO STAY

Ruud van Nistelrooy has tried to allay fears that he is going to leave United.

"I am not interested in a transfer, not this year and also not during my contract,"

“And I hope I will play in Manchester after that.”

Meanwhile reports from the Holland camp say Ruud is in trouble for kicking teammate Ron Vlaar. His manager Marco van Basten said: "We train always on the knife edge with a lot of emotion,"

"But I explained to Ruud that it is important that we control our emotions and treat team-mates with respect.

Van Nistelrooy said: "I spoke with the group and apologised to the player. Sometimes I have a problem to keep my self-control. In training I give everything."

Does this explain Ruud's rise in form compared to the slump of Rio?
