Sorry, Manchester United fans. But once again it's that time of day where we try to unpack exactly what's going on with Bruno Fernandes.
The Portugal international has been the name on everyone's lips this month and despite appearing to be on his way out the door at Sporting CP, Fernandes was involved in Friday's Lisbon Derby - much to the disappointment of United fans who thought a deal was close.
His side's 2-0 defeat to rivals Benfica unsurprisingly wasn't the real talking point for United fans, but Sporting CP's manager was also distracted by Fernandes' immediate future after the match.
Head coach Silas sent out mixed signals after the game, stressing the club didn't want to sell Fernandes before claiming the 25-year-old "deserves" to be playing in the Premier League.
"I hope not," Silas responded, via Record, when asked if Fernandes would be leaving for Manchester United this month. "So far we don't know, nor does Bruno know.
"We will try to keep him for more games, but it's not up to us. The only wish I have is the best for him. I would prefer that he not leave. We have to understand the ambition of the player, who prefers to play in a league superior to ours. There has been talk of the Premier League, but who wouldn’t like to play there?
"Bruno deserves everything and to try a league like this, if he’s one of the best, he deserves to be there."
Aside from stressing Sporting CP wanted to keep hold of their best player, Silas' comments hardly cleared things up at all. But comments from Fernandes' manager aren't the only thing which Manchester United fans will want to be aware of heading into the weekend.
So with a pinch of salt (or bucket, your choice) at the ready - an exclusive from The Sun claims that talks with Fernandes have actually stalled due to a dispute over bonus payments.
It's suggested that the deal United want to complete would include a £34m fee upfront, while another £25.5m would be tied up in performance-based add-ons.
And given that Manchester United aren't quite the Premier League powerhouse that they used to be, Sporting CP's decision-makers apparently aren't too keen on committing to a deal which relies on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to overachieve.
Another add-on which has supposedly been proposed by Ed Woodward surrounds Fernandes winning the Ballon d'Or.
If there is any truth to The Sun's piece could become clearer this weekend when Manchester United face Liverpool, as reports have suggested that Fernandes would be in attendance at Anfield to see his new teammates in action.
But until then, it's going to continue to be one heck of a rollercoaster for you United fans as far as this move for Fernandes is concerned.
