David Bellion has blasted claims suggesting he was a failure in The Premiership. The Manchester United forward returned to France to join Nice on loan for the rest of the season last month, with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

After a failed loan at West Ham, United are willing to convert that temporary agreement into a permanent arrangement.

"I absolutely regret nothing and I would do the same now. If I chose England, it was not for financial reasons. When you are young, the English league is exciting with fantastic players and a great atmosphere - but you still need to play.

"I don't consider my comeback to France as a failure, because I could have played in Holland, Spain or even stayed in England but I wanted to play in France, where no-one really ever saw me play.

"I am not here saying I know everything coming from Manchester - I have five months to show the coach he was right to sign me. I am still in trouble, because in six months at West Ham I didn't do anything. On a physical level I have lost a lot."
