The Truth Is Out There

Neil Custis in the Sun has pointed out what most reds already know. United under the Glazers are skint and it's only a matter of time before the debt really starts to bite. After all surely we can't sell £80 million worth of assets every year?

From the Sun

The transfer deadline passed yesterday with Premier League champions United failing to do any business.

That means that, in the four years and three months since the Glazers took over, United have spent £163.45m and recouped £157.2m.

At the same time, a conservative estimate suggests around £250m has been spent on servicing the debt from the Glazers' takeover.

That is money generated by the club which goes straight out to pay the interest on the £650m which has been borrowed so that the American family can own the club.
